I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that this is the last week of the year. Are you surprised? I was surprised. It's very surprising. Don't you think so? Also surprising, I only have two work days left before the end of 2009 -- Monday and Tuesday. It's amazing. Were you amazed? I was amazed. So that's fun.

And since tomorrow is the last Sunday of the year, I should get a few things done, don't you think? Not too many things, mind you, because it's Sunday and, really, I don't want to over-extend myself (as I altogether too often do). But nonetheless, things must be done.

These are those things. )

And phaw. Can I do it? Maybe. Maybe not. I have no idea. And, as always, the plans are subject to change -- especially depending on what I decide to do with the week. My mother is trying to convince me to hang out at the house for the week, but commuting from here to work sounds like a pain in the butt (as much as I love hanging out with the family). Really, she just wants more time to play with the kittens, and I can't blame her for that.

Yes. Well. I hope everyone has had a good Chrismanukkahsticezaa. I did.
Today at work I had to find a picture of shingles (yes, the medical condition). A particular picture of shingles. This involved trolling through our image archive. When nothing came up under "shingles", I tried "T10 zytosis", which meant I had to sort through about sixty pictures of herpes before I found the specific picture I was looking for. Because she happened to be on IM at the time, I kept [info]punctuates updated throughout my perusal of anal lesions and eyeball contusions. What did she have to say about it?

Quoth the Joan: I'm glad I came with you on your voyage of DISGUSTING.

We then followed this up with a discussion about what kind of tools we were. (She's a hammer -- thus the icon. In case you were wondering.)
I need to get some serious knitting done, but curious kittens make that very, very difficult. I wish there was a coffee shop near my house where I could just buckle down and do it someplace where I won't be disturbed, but no such luck. Sooooo... I'm thinking my options are (a) lock myself in a room and listen to the kittens mewl at me or (b) buckle down in the diner down the street. I wonder if they'd have a problem with that.

Eh. Only one way to find out~
2009 - Urgh.
Work is totally overwhelming me this week. Mostly today. The fact that it's nearly five on Tuesday and this is the first time I've sat at my desk (for more than two minutes) so far this week is really very telling. And I'm completely beat and wishing I didn't have tomorrow afternoon off (because there's no way all this is getting done before the end of the year) and it's all a mess.

That is all.
