I read "Faith of My Fathers" by John McCain and Mark Salter before the 2008 presidential election to get a sense of what McCain went through as a POW during the Vietnam War. I thought it was a great book and wrote about it in the unpublished Op-Ed below.

This article was published in the June/July issue of Allegany Magazine. Heritage Days takes place every June in Cumberland, MD.
This writing sample discusses English translations of the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. "Transposition" might be a better way to describe how the Italian becomes English, though.
